Error 118 (compression mode) or Safe cannot be used on a compressed file system

This function is provided by Windows and is supposed to save local drive space. You need to disable Compression Mode for the whole storage path or move Safe-File manually to an uncompressed area and remount the Safe by clicking "Create a new secure drive" and select "Continue using an existing safe".

You may see the compressed files and directories in your Windows Explorer highlighted in blue. Just perform a right click with the mouse to every file and directory (*), beginning from Safe-File upwards to the root directory of your drive and select advanced. There you need to uncheck the 'compression checkbox' and confirm with OK.

(*) For Steganos you need to disable the Compression Mode especially for this files and directories:

(default XP) C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Application Data\Steganos\%SAFENAME%.sle

(default VISTA/Windows 7) C:\Users\%USERNAME%\ApplData\Roaming\Steganos\%SAFENAME%.sle

You may have to do this also for this file and location: C:\Windows\System32\slee.dll
